Brian’s 1962 Rover 100 P4 — A Timeless British Icon

A journey of self-discovery and exploration that allows us to align our values, interests, and skills with our professional pursuits.

In the world of classic cars, Brian Madden’s 1962 Rover 100 P4 stands as a testament to timeless elegance and enduring passion. A longtime member of the Jamaica Classic Car Club, Brian’s love for Rovers began in his youth, inspired by his uncle’s collection. That spark never faded — and in 1982, fate rolled in when he stumbled upon a weathered Rover on the side of a construction site.

The house it once called home was being demolished, but Brian saw more than an old shell — he saw history. With just $1,500 Jamaican Dollars at the time (an amount that couldn’t remotely buy a car today, lol), he rescued the vehicle, unknowingly beginning a restoration journey that would span decades.

After years of meticulous work, Brian brought the Rover back to life. Under its polished bonnet lies a 2.6-liter inline-six engine, the same powerplant found in early Land Rovers — a symbol of both durability and British engineering finesse. Every detail of the restoration reflects Brian’s commitment to preserving not just a vehicle, but a story.
